AKM’s Finance Department is led by the company’s CFO who is a licensed CPA and a CFA charter holder. The Department specializes in producing timely and accurate financial reports designed to support efficient retail operations, manage and control the company’s assets, and assist decision makers in their analysis of the company’s investments in new ventures.
The team works closely with the IT and Logistics departments to ensure accurate data flow to its state of the art reporting system. This system is designed to identify and report policy and procedure exceptions that are shared with Divisional Directors and Team Leaders for corrective action. Additionally, the department produces a set of daily, weekly and monthly sales and financial metrics designed to identify results that lie outside expected operating norms. The team includes seven degreed accountants, a field auditor, two payroll specialists and a sales tax professional.
