Camp Soaring Eagle
Nestled within the spectacular red rocks of Sedona, Camp Soaring Eagle will help ailing children discover a world of possibilities, not limitations, by offering them an unforgettable experience, that is otherwise impossible to achieve. It will be a unique, distinctive place designed for campers to forget their worries, ailments, and gain a renewed sense of vigor and charm in life.
At first glance it may seem just like any other traditional camp — children giggling, romping and playing. But a closer look reveals that this camp will truly be very different. That's because this camp will serve kids ages 6–17, who have a variety of serious and life–threatening illnesses — such as cancer and HIV/AIDS, asthma, diabetes, heart disease and more — kids whose medical conditions prevent them from attending a more traditional summer camp. And best of all, it is free of charge to the children and their families, as the camp is funded solely by generous donations. Children from all over the Southwest will attend week–long sessions, live in climate–controlled cabins and enjoy a variety of activities indoors and out.There will be athletic fields, an equestrian center, an Olympic–sized swimming pool, an amphitheater and an indoor recreation center.
